C.S. Lewis Book Covers
C.S. Lewis, a renowned Christian author, has written numerous successful novels about Christian life. Each cover was approached as an opportunity to interpret the themes and tone of the book while creating a cohesive collection, using typography, imagery, and composition to create individual visual identities.
My goal in designing these book covers was to give them a modern and contemporary look while retaining their classic appeal. The cover imagery was critical to the design as I aimed to portray the lessons or elements present in the books without giving away the story. Each cover works both individually and as a group to narrate the story of each book, making the design cohesive and meaningful.
